Singlo Floor Spring

Although I have already introduced you to the Singlo in an earlier blog post I am revisiting this make of floor spring because this one is slightly different to the first.

This Singlo has the Newman pin compared to the square Showell pin. It also has only one access hole compared to the two access holes found in the cover plate of the previous Singlo post.

This right hand Singlo is for a customer in Scotland and has been fully restored as can be seen in the pictures below.

another great interesting post about Singlo floorsprings. from seeing the setup of how they are layed out, pretty simple in there.

from seeing the insides of this one, I take it that this one only swings to 90 degrees open??

keep um coming!!! love reading about the different floorsprings you have taken apart, repaired and returned in working order for another 50+ years.

We are here over in the Baja peninsula of Mexico and there are many historic buildings that are in desperate need of an overhaul .
