hello again, loved reading about the Earl and what you did to get it working again,

from seeing the pic of it in the floor, looks like its lost a great deal of fluid into the box, this one is what is called an independent hung.


as for the pics of it on ground and in vise, the black gasket material looks a bit streatched and tired, I guess had to use the same gasket since cant make or find new one?? a sheet of rubber may have worked as a new gasket, the old one looks like its spilling out the sides and will or may cause a leak if the closer was tilted on side, hope all is well with it,
